Dr. Majid Twahir
Advocate of the High Court | Mediator & Arbitrator

Dr. Majid Twahir is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya whose practice spans advisory, dispute resolution, and institutional problem-solving. He works with individuals, professionals, and organisations not only when disputes arise, but, also preferably, before they do, helping clients think clearly, act fairly, and make defensible decisions.

A certified mediator and arbitrator under the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Dr. Twahir is known for a balanced approach: firm where principle matters, pragmatic where resolution is possible. His work is informed by a strong belief that the law should serve justice consistently—regardless of status, position, or influence—and that good legal advice should hold up even when it is inconvenient.

Alongside practice, he serves as Associate Dean, Research and Innovation, and a Senior Lecturer at Strathmore University Business School, teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and executive programmes. His academic work brings clarity, structure, and perspective to his legal practice.

With over 30 years of senior leadership experience in the healthcare sector, Dr. Twahir brings an insider’s understanding of governance, regulation, strategy, and organisational decision-making. He is particularly effective in matters involving boards, senior management, professionals, and regulated environments where fairness, accountability, and sound judgment matter as much as legal correctness.

He holds advanced qualifications in Medicine, Management, and Law, including an MBChB, MMed, MBA, DBA (Strategic Management), LLB, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law. He is a former Trustee of the Strathmore University Foundation and a founding Advisory Council member of the Executive Health Management Programme at Strathmore University Business School. He is also a certified Executive Coach under the International Coaching Federation (ICF), bringing a structured, reflective approach to leadership, decision-making, and professional development

Dr. Twahir’s practice is guided by independence of thought, respect for the rule of law, and a quiet commitment to doing the right thing, whether it is the easiest option or not.
